EDENSIDE COMPUTERS DECEMBER NEWSLETTER … “Information you can’t do without”
· What is malware? Firstly, Malware attacks are intelligent. The first thing they do on your system is to make fool proof arrangements for hiding themselves. They modify your system files to make their detection absolutely impossible and get loaded during the boot process itself to take control of your entire system. At times, the system might become so much infected that it may be impossible even to boot it in a regular manner. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malware
· Edenside have been busy over the last week or so, since most of the UK ground to a halt due to the snow, we came up with a new website and a new branch to the business, “Your Magical Memories”. We can take your photographs, turn them into a slideshow movie with music; you then can watch at home on your TV, give it to friends or family. Still working on the website but you can visit it here: http://www.yourmagicalmemories.co.uk
· So many people have contacted Edenside Computers concerning issues with the new AVG 2011. I have found a few issues of my own with the AVG 2011, that’s why I don’t use it! A big one being that it slows your computer down. One tip is to disable the Link Scanner component within the settings. For more help click here: http://www.avg.com/ww-en/faq.num-3258 or download Avast or Eset antivirus (free for 30 days)
